Palm Foundation Launches to Onboard Next Billion to Web3

The Palm Foundation has launched with a mission to democratize the Web3 space. It aims to onboard the next billion people by educating and supporting creators, particularly those from underrepresented communities. The foundation has partnered with ZsONAMACO, Latin America's largest art fair, to showcase Web3 art from February 8 to 12, 2023, in Mexico City.

Andrea Lerdo, formerly of Onyx, leads the Palm Foundation. She will focus on non-English translations of Web3 content, training in code-free digital tools, and startup mentorship. The foundation will offer grant and scholarship programs, fiat payment processing for digital collectibles, and curatorial mentorship. It aims to support women, LGBTQI+, Latinx, Black, Indigenous, and other underrepresented artists and creators.

The foundation's first exhibition in collaboration with ZsONAMACO will feature an artist selected from the Palm network. While the artist's name is yet to be announced, the exhibition runs from February 8 to 12, 2023. Palm NFT Studio, HENI, ConsenSys, Heyday Films, Nifty's, Candy Digital, and Portion support the Palm Foundation in its mission.

The Palm Foundation, with its educational initiatives and supportive programs, is poised to make a significant impact on the Web3 space. By focusing on underrepresented communities and providing accessible tools and resources, it aims to bring the next billion people to Web3.
