Partnership between Aeris and Bridge Alliance expands, providing APAC enterprises with the globally first unified cellular IoT security solution
In a move to address the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by enterprises in securing their expanding cellular IoT deployments, Aeris Communications and Bridge Alliance have announced a partnership to offer Aeris IoT Watchtower in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The Aeris IoT Watchtower solution offers enterprise IoT visibility and control, helping to detect IoT security breaches and significantly reduce their impact. It consists of two critical components - "Awareness" and "Enforcement" - which provide enterprises with the tools they need to prevent or limit damage from an attack.
The collaboration between Aeris Communications and Bridge Alliance focuses on launching the Aeris IoT Watchtower solution in the APAC region to address security gaps in cellular IoT networks. This partnership extends Aeris's existing cellular IoT connectivity management services delivered via their IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform to Bridge Alliance's member operators (BMOs), enabling seamless and agentless monitoring and protection of IoT devices against cyber threats across APAC markets.
Boosting Security and Regulatory Compliance
The commercial launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in APAC is a significant milestone that boosts security, regulatory compliance, and network visibility to meet rising cybersecurity needs for enterprise IoT deployments in the region. The solution also delivers regular risk assessments and device insights to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance for enterprises deploying IoT at scale in APAC.
A Frictionless, Real-Time Security Layer
Aeris IoT Watchtower is seamlessly built into the existing cellular data path of enterprises, requiring no special SIM cards or complex routing. This offers a frictionless, real-time security layer that integrates into existing cellular data paths, providing enterprises with complete visibility into their cellular IoT security risks and the ability to neutralise threats before they impact operations.
Addressing the Growing Cybersecurity Concerns
Recent research by Forrester shows that IoT devices within company assets are now the top target for corporate cyber-attacks. With the Asia-Pacific region set to almost double its current 170 million connected cellular IoT devices by 2030, the need for a solution like Aeris IoT Watchtower becomes increasingly important.
The global number of cellular IoT connections has been growing rapidly, with 1.1 billion connected cellular IoT devices globally and expected growth at a 16% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the next three years. Existing IoT connectivity solutions do not deliver the end-to-end visibility nor control capabilities that enterprises need to detect and mitigate such threats.
A Step Forward in IoT Security
Mark Cratsenburg, the chief commercial officer for the IoT Business Unit at Aeris, is emphasizing the ease of use of Aeris IoT Watchtower. He stated, "Aeris IoT Watchtower offers real-time protection with zero friction for enterprises, providing them with the tools they need to secure their growing cellular IoT deployments."
Ong Geok Chwee, the CEO of Bridge Alliance, is looking forward to extending Watchtower into more APAC markets in the coming months. He stated, "The launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in Asia-Pacific is a significant step forward in enhancing security for the IoTA platform, and we are excited to bring this solution to our member operators and their customers."
Aeris is participating as a Diamond Sponsor at the Bridge Alliance CXO Forum 2025 on 17 November, where they will showcase Aeris IoT Watchtower and discuss its benefits with attendees.
