Porsche Unveils Panamera S Hybrid in Geneva
Porsche is set to unveil the Panamera S Hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show. This new model promises lower CO2 emissions than rival diesel luxury cars from Jaguar and BMW.
The Panamera S Hybrid, priced at £86,146, comes with air suspension and larger wheels. It boasts a hybrid system similar to the Cayenne Hybrid, pairing a 330bhp V6 engine with a 44bhp electric motor. This combination allows it to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 6.0 seconds, matching the performance of the 4.8-litre V8 S.
In terms of efficiency, the Panamera Hybrid offers real-world fuel consumption similar to its V8 counterpart, particularly in non-urban driving. Porsche aims to reduce its average corporate CO2 emissions with this model.
The Porsche Panamera S Hybrid, with CO2 emissions of 159g/km, is a significant step towards greener luxury driving. It will debut at the Geneva Motor Show alongside other models like the 911 Black Edition and Cayman R. The Panamera S Hybrid will hit the market in June, offering a compelling blend of performance and efficiency.
