In the world of tech, concept designs often pique the interest of consumers, and the latest addition to this realm is the Nothing Power (1). This proposed power bank, designed by Sri Nikesh and Kali Hitesh, is a fan-made, highly detailed concept that extends Nothing's design philosophy into the charging accessory space.

The Power (1) revives the use of the brand's signature Glyph interface, a feature that made headlines upon the launch of the Nothing Phone (1). The design aims to create an emotional connection through its transparent layers, bold light paths, and interaction through illumination.

The concept began with a focus on creating a cleaner silhouette and sufficient space for the revival of the Glyph interface. The designers have sought to maintain cohesion with the original Glyph light patterns and transparent design ethos of Nothing’s early products, while also creating a design reminiscent of the first two Nothing products.

However, it's important to note that the Power (1) remains a purely conceptual design and is not an official or upcoming product by Nothing Technology. Despite substantial fan interest and detailed design exploration, including months of rendering, prototyping, and UX storytelling, the Power (1) has not been officially developed or released by Nothing.

This development comes after Nothing had once been working on an official battery bank but scrapped it due to concerns about the device's susceptibility to cracking upon accidental falls. The current concept by Sri Nikesh and Kali Hitesh seeks to address these concerns while maintaining the original Glyph light patterns and transparent design ethos.

As of August 2025, the Nothing Power Bank beyond this design concept remains unofficial. The company's only official charging accessory currently is the Power (45 W) wall charger; no official power bank release has been announced.

Meanwhile, the recent Nothing Phone (3) indicates a shift towards more conventional smartphone designs, suggesting that the company may be focusing its efforts elsewhere for the time being. Nonetheless, the concept of the Nothing Power (1) underscores the importance of how a product makes the user feel, and it serves as a testament to the strong community interest in Nothing's unique design philosophy.
