Renault Trucks reveals electric SideLiner trucks for beverage transportation in the year 2025

Renault Trucks and Orten Vehicle Construction are set to showcase a groundbreaking electric vehicle project at the Commercial Vehicle Show Nufam in Karlsruhe, Germany, from September 25 to 28, 2025.

The collaboration, which has been developed in close coordination with Renault Trucks Switzerland and the Feldschlösschen brewery, promises to revolutionise beverage logistics with a zero-emission, electrically powered vehicle.

At the heart of this project is the Renault Trucks E-Tech, an electric vehicle platform known for its optimised urban logistics performance and electric powertrain technology. The vehicle will feature the innovative SideLiner body, a vehicle body system developed by Orten Vehicle Construction. This system is designed to maximise cargo space efficiency, ease of loading and unloading, and potentially offer enhanced modularity or weight savings suitable for electric trucks.

The SideLiner body, a unique feature of the vehicle, swings out fully electrically to the side, revealing the loading area in a short time. This design element, combined with the SafeServer body from Orten, which allows the side walls of the vehicles to be opened and closed by hand in a short time, promises a streamlined and efficient loading and unloading process.

Maximilian von Loebbecke, the new managing director of Renault Trucks Germany, recently visited Orten Vehicle Construction in Bernkastel-Kues to oversee the project's progress. The vehicle recently handed over to Ensinger Mineralbrunnen will be used in the future for regional distribution in the company's sales area.

The parties involved reaffirmed their continued cooperation at the handover, hinting at potential future collaborations in the electric vehicle sector. The vehicle on display at Nufam 2025 is expected to be a prototype, showcasing innovations in electric utility, payload optimisation via the SideLiner body, and possibly integrated smart logistics features.

For precise technical details, features, exact specifications, and the nature of the collaboration, official press releases from Renault Trucks, Orten Vehicle Construction, or dedicated trade news sources after mid-2025 would be necessary. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting joint project!

This innovative project, combining technology from Renault Trucks and Orten Vehicle Construction, is set to bring a revolution in sports logistics with a zero-emission, electrically powered vehicle. The vehicle's optimized urban logistics performance and electric powertrain technology, along with the innovative SideLiner body developed by Orten, will enhance sports equipment transportation efficiency.
