Ballon d'Or NFT Collection to Launch Later This Month

The Ballon d'Or NFT collection, a digital interpretation of the prestigious football award, is set to make its debut this month. Created by contemporary artist Léo Caillard, the collection aims to make the trophy more accessible and cement L'Équipe group in the Web3 space.

The official public sale of the Ballon d'Or NFT collection will take place on October 25, with each NFT costing 249 Euros. These digital tokens grant access to the Ballon d'Or award ceremony for the next 20 years. For those interested in securing an NFT early, a 24-hour private sale will take place on October 23, with 1772 NFTs available for purchase by whitelisted users. The NFTs in the private sale will cost 199 Euros each.

The Ballon d'Or NFT set is designed to resemble pyrite, the mineral that forms the base of the Ballon d'Or trophy. The five winners of this year's awards will receive a digital twin of their trophies as part of the collection. Each winner will also receive an NFT during the ceremony.

In addition to the public and private sales, L'Équipe group will auction two unique NFTs by Caillard on November 8, auctioned by the auction house Millon. The first three unique 3D NFTs designed by Caillard were auctioned last month, and the winners will get access to the awards ceremony on October 17 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

For technology enthusiasts, the Ballon d'Or NFT collection offers more than just a digital trophy. NFT holders will have access to exclusive live experiences and can follow the latest updates on L'Équipe group's Twitter and Discord server.

Furthermore, fantasy football fans will have a chance to collect limited edition Sorare mystery cards as part of the Ballon d'Or NFT collection. The collection is based on the Tezos blockchain, ensuring secure and sustainable transactions.

In conclusion, the Ballon d'Or NFT collection is set to revolutionise the way we perceive and interact with the iconic football award. Whether you're a football fan, a tech enthusiast, or a collector, there's something in the Ballon d'Or NFT collection for everyone. Stay tuned for more updates and don't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of this historic digital movement.
