SmartRay Unveils ECCO X 025 Dual-Head: The First Dual-Head 3D Sensor for 100% Inspection

SmartRay has introduced the ECCO X 025 Dual-Head, a groundbreaking 3D sensor that promises 100% inspection at metrology grade level with reduced occlusions. This innovative product is the first dual-head sensor in the ECCO X range.

The ECCO X 025 Dual-Head boasts a dual-head sensor, which ensures accurate 3D point capture across all parts of the sample. This design eliminates data loss due to shadowing, a common issue in 3D scanning. The sensor offers a field of view (FOV) of 25mm at mid-field and a typical measurement range of 20mm, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Claire Rathsack, ECCO Business Manager, hailed the new sensor, stating it sets a new benchmark for high-precision, shadow-free 3D scanning. With a laser wavelength of 450 nm, it can achieve up to 40 kHz scan rate and capture 4096 3D points per profile. The ECCO X 025 Dual-Head is particularly useful in sectors like automotive and semiconductors, where complex surfaces and shadowing can pose challenges.

Developed and manufactured by SmartRay, the ECCO X 025 Dual-Head offers a significant leap forward in 3D scanning technology. With its dual-head design, it promises enhanced accuracy and reduced shadowing, making it an attractive solution for industries seeking high-precision, uninterrupted visibility on complex surfaces.
