Sui Teams Up With t'order to Revolutionize South Korea's Digital Payments
Sui, a state-of-the-art blockchain platform, has joined forces with t'order, South Korea's leading table-ordering app and nationwide point-of-sale network, to transform digital payments in the country. The collaboration aims to introduce a native Korean Won (KRW) stablecoin, designed for ultra-fast and reliable transactions.
t'order, processing around 350 million USD in monthly transactions, is set to incorporate this stablecoin into its system. This move could potentially save small businesses nearly KRW 150 billion annually by replacing traditional card fees with minimal transaction costs.
The Sui Foundation's Sui Stack Messaging SDK, currently in alpha, will drive this initiative. It integrates with the Sui blockchain for identity verification, Walrus for decentralized storage, and Seal for secrets management. This ensures private, recoverable, and composable conversations. Sui gains direct access to one of South Korea's largest payment infrastructures through this partnership.
The collaboration seeks to reshape South Korea's digital payments landscape using advanced technologies like QR codes and facial recognition for secure transactions. By integrating blockchain into daily economic activities, the project promotes low-cost stablecoin payments and secure messaging for Web3.
