Tata Power Renewable Energy Launches ₹1,200 Cr FDRE Project, Adani Completes 81.2 MW Hybrid Project
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has initiated a significant 80 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project, investing ₹1,200 crore. This project, set to be completed over 24 months, will enhance grid stability by integrating advanced solar, wind, and battery storage systems. Meanwhile, Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five Ltd has successfully commissioned a 50 MW solar power project and a 31.2 MW wind power project in Gujarat.
TPREL's FDRE project, located in Mumbai, is a result of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution. The project aims to bolster grid stability during peak demand periods. The execution is expected to take 24 months.
In another development, Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five Ltd has completed the commissioning of a 50 MW solar power project and a 31.2 MW wind energy project at Khavda, Gujarat. The completion was marked on September 30, 2025, with the certificate received the following day on October 1, 2025.
These projects reflect the growing commitment to renewable energy in India. TPREL's FDRE project, with its advanced solar, wind, and battery storage systems, is set to strengthen the grid's resilience. Meanwhile, Adani's hybrid energy project in Gujarat adds significant capacity to the country's renewable energy portfolio.
