Tech YouTuber's Galaxy Ring Battery Swelling Halts Flight
Tech YouTuber Daniel Rotar faced an unexpected ordeal when his Samsung Galaxy Ring's battery swelled, leading to a painful incident and preventing him from boarding a flight. The incident has sparked warnings from IT media outlets about managing device batteries.
Rotar, who has 1.63 million subscribers, found the battery of his Galaxy Ring expanding, causing discomfort and distorting the 'Samsung' logo inside the device. The swelling was severe enough to cause poor blood circulation, turning his finger red. As a result, he was denied boarding on a flight due to safety concerns.
In a worrying turn of events, Rotar had to have the ring removed at a hospital using ice and medical lubricant. PhoneArena and SamMobile have since reported on the incident, cautioning users about potential risks associated with battery swelling.
While this may not be a widespread issue, the incident serves as a reminder for users to manage their device batteries carefully. Samsung Electronics has not yet commented on the matter. Rotar's experience underscores the importance of monitoring device health and being aware of potential hazards.
