Techcombank's CEO, Jens Lottner, is given a second term in his role.
Techcombank's CEO Jens Lottner, with over 30 years of experience in finance and banking, primarily in Asia, has been reappointed as the leader of the bank for a second term from 2025 to 2030[1][3]. This decision reflects the board's consistent strategy and strong confidence in his effective leadership.
During his first term, Lottner spearheaded Techcombank’s digital transformation that positioned it as one of the leading tech-driven financial institutions in the region[3]. Under his leadership, the bank embraced advanced digital banking platforms, AI capabilities, and enhanced talent development. These efforts drove strong financial growth, with Techcombank recording a pre-tax profit of VND27.5 trillion ($1.05 billion) in 2024, a 20.3% increase on-year[1].
In Q2 of 2024, Techcombank's pre-tax profit reached VND7.9 trillion ($301 million) - its highest quarterly profit ever[2]. The bank's CASA (current account savings account) ratio also reached 40.9% in 2024, with a record CASA balance of VND231 trillion ($8.8 billion)[3].
Techcombank’s current transformation strategy focuses on continuing to lead Vietnam’s digital banking innovation with comprehensive digital financial solutions, enhancing customer experience through hyper-personalized services, expanding its ecosystem by integrating with partners in real estate, insurance, and wealth management, driving sustainability initiatives, and expanding capital markets and supporting Vietnam’s economic growth through strong credit demand and financing solutions[1][3][4][5].
Lottner has been recognized for his outstanding leadership with prestigious awards such as "Best Bank CEO in Vietnam (2022–2025)" by The Asian Banker and Techcombank itself winning "Best Managed Bank in Vietnam" from Euromoney, FinanceAsia, and Global Finance for two consecutive years[1][5].
In addition, the Techcombank Investment Summit 2025 was held on July 9 under the theme "New Vietnam: From Vision to Value". The Overseas Talent Roadshow, launched in 2022, is one of Techcombank's signature recruitment initiatives to seek and connect Vietnamese talent globally[6]. Outstanding Vietnamese professionals living abroad, upon joining Techcombank, will be given the best conditions to leverage and develop their international expertise[7].
As Techcombank continues to grow and innovate, Lottner remains confident that the bank will continue delivering leading, comprehensive digital financial solutions to customers and the people of Vietnam[8]. With his extensive international banking experience and transformational leadership, Jens Lottner is poised to lead Techcombank towards further success in the years to come.
