Technology and Operations group head position appointed to Anuj Dhall by Interac
Interac Corp, the trusted backbone of Canadian commerce, has announced the appointment of Anuj Dhall as its new Group Head, Technology and Operations. Effective August 5, 2025, Dhall will lead the modernisation of Interac's technology infrastructure, enhancing enterprise agility, and strengthening operational excellence.
In his new role, Dhall will be responsible for overseeing the architecture, engineering, and technology operations of Interac's core services such as Interac Debit, Interac e-Transfer, and Interac Verified. He will also manage Interac's partnership with Payments Canada as the fraud services provider and the primary technical operator of the Real-Time Rail, a forthcoming real-time payments system in Canada.
Dhall's extensive experience in enterprise technology and financial services makes him ideally suited to advance Interac's commitment to delivering secure, reliable, made-in-Canada payment and digital verification technology. His appointment follows the retirement of Jeff Henderson, the previous Group Head, Technology and Operations.
Jeremy Wilmot, the President and CEO of Interac Corp, welcomed Dhall, stating that he joins at a moment of great momentum to build the future of payments and digital infrastructure in Canada. Dhall expressed his desire to advance Interac's digital infrastructure for the Canada of tomorrow.
Prior to joining Interac, Dhall was a partner in the Financial Services Technology practice at PwC Canada. He has also held executive leadership roles at the Bank of Montreal, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and GE Capital Canada.
