Tytan Technologies to Protect German Military with Drone Defense Concept by Mid-2026
Tytan Technologies, a specialist in drone defense, has been commissioned by the German Armed Forces to develop a concept for protecting military facilities and critical infrastructure. The company aims to present this concept by mid-2026, building on its experience in Ukraine and collaborating with other companies in the fields of sensors, radar, and software.
Tytan Technologies, established in 2023, is the main contractor for this project, led by the Bundeswehr's Innovation Lab in Erding. The company plans to use its findings from Ukraine, where its Interceptor drones have been tested and integrated into air defense, to inform its protection strategy for Germany.
Tytan aims to protect against NATO Class II drones, including Iranian Shahed drones and their Russian copies. The company will approach the Bundeswehr with a proposal as early as spring, working with various unnamed companies in sensor technology, radar, and software to create a comprehensive solution.
The German Armed Forces have entrusted Tytan Technologies with this crucial project, recognizing the company's expertise in drone defense. By mid-2026, Tytan plans to present a concept that leverages its Ukrainian experience and collaborative efforts to safeguard military facilities and critical infrastructure in Germany.
