Samsung is set to shake up its flagship smartphone lineup with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The new models, scheduled for release in early 2026, aim to strengthen Samsung's position against competitors like the Google Pixel 10 and iPhone 17.
Streamlined Lineup and Model Changes
Samsung is increasing its primary phone lineup from three to four units. The flagship series will now consist of three main variants: the Galaxy S26 Pro, replacing the base and Plus models, a premium compact device; the Galaxy S26 Edge, taking over from the Plus, offering a larger display with curved edges; and the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the top-tier model with the biggest display and advanced features.
Design and Technological Advancements
The design changes in the Galaxy S26 series are significant, particularly in the Ultra variant.
