Now, you can name each trip plan individually, making it easier to keep track of your adventures.
Expanded Content for Existing Tracks
More details will be added to the existing DOC tracks over the next few weeks, providing you with even more comprehensive news about your outdoor activities.
Hut and Campsite Reviews
Share your experiences by writing reviews for huts and campsites, helping other users make informed decisions about their trips.
Shared Trip Plans
Discover and join trip plans created by other users. Receive an email notification, and find these plans under 'My Walks'.
Offline Plan Feature
Download trip plans as PDFs for offline access, ensuring you're always prepared for your journey.
Weather Integration
Weather hazards from MetService New Zealand have been integrated into the app, keeping you informed about potential risks during your outdoor activities.
Photos in Reviews
Add up to 3 photos to your track reviews, subject to admin approval before display.

New Tracks and Regions
Approximately 100 new tracks will be added from the Greater Wellington and Auckland regions over the next few weeks.
App Updates and Website Access
The Apple iOS and Android app updates are underway, with version 2.0 set to be available shortly. The Plan My Walk website version has also been updated and can be accessed at www.planmywalk.nz.
My Contacts and My Walks
The My Contacts feature allows easy management of trip contacts, while the My Walks section provides easy access to past, upcoming, or draft trip plans.
Multi-Day Trip Planning
For multi-day trips, users can input a start and end location, and add daily notes for each day.
Custom Notifications and Account Management
Profile settings allow customization of notifications and account management.
Wishlist Feature
The new features include a My Wishlist feature to save tracks for later.
Road Snowfall Warnings
