Innovations Showcased at Ayrton's Trade Fair: Kyalami and Nando 502 Wash Revealed

Luminous Talent on Show at Prolight + Sound

Welcome to the vibrant world of Ayrton, pioneers in the lighting industry, where creativity meets cutting-edge technology. Their jaw-dropping performances at Prolight + Sound have long been a staple of the event. Industry heavyweights and promising newcomers gather to flaunt their products, and Ayrton always steal the show with an impressive and artistic display.

The mesmerizing Ayrton show

Ayrton's light show at Prolight + Sound is breathtaking; spotlights swirl around the hall, bathed in an array of colours. Choreographed to music, the moving heads, washes, and LED siblings seem to dance, casting incomparable light throughout the space. This year's highlights were the unique Kyalami moving head and the stunning Nando 502 wash, both scheduled for a mid to late May release. An astounding 93 Kyalami and 25 Nando 502 were utilized in the light show, accompanied by almost 200 other Ayrton spotlights.

The show's creation takes lighting designer Stéphane Migné and light operator Arnaud Pierrel around a month to bring the new products into the spotlight. Each year's performance is a one-of-a-kind spectacle, as it serves as the debut for the new products.

It's not just the show, but the entire Prolight + Sound appearance that holds immense significance for Ayrton. Here, they forge valuable connections and provide their company and products with a stage to command attention. Prolight + Sound has traditionally been the platform for Ayrton to launch new products, and 2024 was no exception.

The dazzling Kyalami: a new era in lighting technology

Ayrton unveiled their Kyalami Moving Head at Prolight + Sound 2024, an exciting addition to their Creative Solution range. Born from the success of the MagicDot project, the Kyalami embodies the spirit of innovation synonymous with Ayrton.

The Kyalami's sleek design, miniaturized with a compact cylindrical footprint, allows multiple units to be installed mere centimeters apart. The luminaire houses a powerful 100 W laser module, cooling system, and advanced optics, all while maintaining speckle-free laser output and perfect colour rendering. The immaculate 126mm front lens seamlessly blends into the spherical design, granting the Kyalami a distinctive visual signature.

Kyalami's impressive colour section offers a high-resolution, progressive CMY colour mixing system and a multi-position colour wheel with five correction filters and 17 complementary colours. Its fixed gobo wheel boasts 29 metal gobos for precise light carving in beam mode, and two rotatable and indexable prisms enhance the creation of complex volumetric lighting effects.

The versatile Nando 502 Wash: a masterpiece for the stage

Ayrton's Nando 502 Wash is ideally suited for both indoor and outdoor use, even in harsh conditions. This compact and robust spotlight effortlessly melds state-of-the-art tech with durable construction, making it adaptable to a wide range of applications.

Streamlined design and enhanced accessibility

The Nando 502 Wash was designed with user-friendliness in mind. Shedding 20% of its weight by optimizing the cooling system, simplifying the lens guide, and integrating low-density optical components, it promises effortless handling and complete accessibility to all of its functions.

Outstanding performance and vivid colour rendering

The Nando 502 Wash is outfitted with 12 powerful 40 W LED sources that allow RGB-L additive colour synthesis. Its unique optical system ensures perfect homogeneity of light, rendering both soft and vibrant colours expertly. Its color rendering index of over 86 showcases its versatility, enabling a seamless transition from a beam to a wash light, with a zoom ratio of 15:1 and a zoom range of 3.5° to 53°.
